Did Robert De Niro Scold Jay-Z for Being Rude?

16 November, 2012 at 9:04 am

The New York Post is reporting that  Robert De Niro scolded Jay-Z at Leonardo Dicaprio’s birthday party last weekend. Reportedly, Jay was supposed to write a song for De Niro’s Tribeca Film Festival, but De Niro couldn’t get a hold of Jay to discuss the song and Jay wouldn’t call him back.

When Jay went over to his table to say hello, De Niro scolded him. A source says, “Bob wasn’t in the mood to make polite conversation. He told Jay that if somebody calls you six times, you call them back. It doesn’t matter who you are, that is just rude.”

Witnesses say Jay tried to joke around, and even Beyonce tried to defuse the situation, but De Niro wouldn’t stand down.

The source says, “It was the talk of the party. Everyone was saying there’s only one star in New York bigger and badder than Jay-Z, and that’s Robert De Niro. He can be quite scary when he’s angry.”

A source close to De Niro says the scolding wasn’t that bad, “It was a low-key private conversation between two people that was apparently overheard. It was not a heated discussion.”

“Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2” (PG-13)

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are all back for the final “Twilight” movie. A quick recap, Bella and Edward got married, Bella almost died during childbirth, and Edward turned her into a vampire to save her life.

This movie picks up after the transformation where Bella is adjusting to her new vampire life. Bella and Edwards baby, Renesmee, is played by 12 year-old Mackenzie Foy. The Volturi have a strick law forbidding the creation of a vampire child, because kids can’t control their blood lust, and the penalty for creating one is death. As a result, the Volturi think the Cullens created a vampire and want to wipe them out.

Alice Cullen has a premonition of the Volturi threat, so the Cullens spend the first half of the movie rounding up support from vampires around the world.

Since Jacob “imprinted” onto Renesmee and became her sworn protector, the wolf pack joins in defending the Cullens from the Volturi.

There is battle at the end and the movie has a different ending than the book.

“Lincoln” (P-13)

Daniel Day Lewis plays Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s movie about Lincoln’s final months in office, when he was pushing to abolish slavery at the end of the civil war. Sally Fields plays his wife Mary Todd, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays their son Robert. Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, and Jackie Earle Haley are also in the film.

“The Silver Lining Playbook” (R)

Bradley Cooper is a guy with anger management issues, and Jennifer Lawrence from “The Hunger Games” is a widow who agrees to help him win back his cheating ex-wife, as long as he’ll be her partner in a dance competition. Robert De Niro plays his dad, and Chris Tucker plays his best friend.

16 November, 2012 at 7:53 am

TMZ is reporting that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are back together. They say Justin has a driver take him to LAX Wednesday night, where he picked up Selena, and were taken to her house. Where they both spent the night together.

The next morning the two went to the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, but entered the building at different times, so that photographers wouldn’t get a picture of them together.

Selena tried to cut Justin out of her life, even blocking him on her cellphone, but they are reportedly back together.
