Rico and Mambo are some of the most recognizable radio personalities in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, with over 18 years individually in the market and together as a team since 1996. Rico and Mambo grew up in Ventura County, they have family and friends in Ventura and Santa Barbara County, and they began their radio careers in Ventura County. This explains their deep roots in the Community.
When ever there was a call for help from the community, they knew that Rico and Mambo would step forward to lend a hand. Some beneficiaries are:
Ventura County Sheriffs Toy Drive – Food Share Food Drive – Easter Seals – American Cancer Society Walk For Life – Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation – Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Ventura County – Parents of Murdered Children (Day Of Remembrance) – Plus dozens of causes large and small that have come from the community over the years
Street credibility is earned. Rico and Mambo understand their responsibility to the community that helped shape their lives and gave them the opportunity to act as communicators and entertainers.

i’m commenting to let you know why we (my boyfriend and i) want to go to Disneyland. We are new parents, just had a baby boy named Benjamin. i would like to win the tickets because my boyfriend has never gone to Disneyland. He recently lost him mother, very tragically, and i would like to take his mind off of how she past away and spend time with his son and i at the “happiest place on earth!”

Hey Rico and Mambo. I usually listen ti big boy and I was driving this morning and switched on my scan radio in my car and it stopped on ur station HOLLY CRAP u guys are so funny and do such a good job at entertaining. I laugh in my car sometimes but u guys made me pee my my pants. I have become a fan and wanted to make sure u guys are not temps u guys are permanant. I’m five months pregnant and I had to pull ovet and pull a real latin trick and pee on the road and wipe with napkins I couldn’t believe how funny u guys are. I also had to look u guys up to see what u lookef like Rico dam ur darkrt then I thought Msmbo ur cuter than usoundif all cholos looked like u I might have benn pregnant like 6 times like all my family members but I’m on myfirst and to old to have another keep it upguys. We need your help! My sons school SOAR Charter Academy was hit with a tragedy on Saturday around 3:30 pm. A group of kids, not from the school, were playing with fire while it was windy and the playground equipment caught on fire! This is a charter school which means that they are not apart of the unified school district so it’s not like they could just get a check from the district to replace the equipment. Our teachers, parents and kids all put in time and effort in raising the funds and building the playground. This school helps our kids not only academically but also with character building, to create children who are well rounded citizens who give back to their community. Right now the school is in a voting contest through facebook and chase to win $25,000, that the school desperately need!! If you can read this on air it would mean a great deal not only to me but to the 257 students who have been affected by this senseless tragedy. All the facebookers have to do is follow this link to Chase Community Giving, “like” the page and then search for SOAR Charter Academy in the charities and vote! It takes less than 60 seconds and it can change the lives of these well deserving teachers, staff and children.
